Roketsan offers objective, impartial, and high-quality terminal and armour ballistic testing services to defence sector companies and to other institutions and organizations. Roketsan carries out ballistic protection testing both within its laboratory environment inside the company campus and in external test areas. The Indoor Ballistic Laboratory (IBL) was accredited in 2015 by the Turkish Accreditation Agency (TÜRKAK) in accordance with the MIL-STD-662, MILDTL-12560, MIL-DTL-46100 and MIL-DTL-46027 standards, and has to date provided a number of accredited testing services in compliance with the scope of the relevant standards. For the tests conducted within the scope of its accreditation, the storage and handling of the sample in appropriate ambient conditions in Roketsan’s test facilities have been carried out in accordance with the ISO 17025 standard.
Roketsan is capable of collecting, analysing and interpreting test data using the special equipment and systems found int its laboratory and test areas. Our mobile data collection systems generate pressure, temperature and sound data, and speed data, making use of the first speed measurement radar, high speed cameras, Flash X-Ray, digital recording systems and image recordings. Armour ballistics testing is provided in two main categories: armour and warhead tests. Armour tests are performed to assess the tested sample's threat level in the Indoor Ballistic
Laboratory (IBL), the Armoured Open Test Area (AOTA) in Şereflikoçhisar, or at the polygon of ATD Group Command in Karapınar. Warhead tests, on the other hand, are conducted at the AOTA or in ATD Group Command. The offered ballistics capabilities include:
