Roketsan was one of the leading actors during ADEX defence exhibition which was held this year for the first time between 11 – 13 September 2014. Roketsan participated in coordination with the Undersecretariat for Defence Industries (SSM) to the exhibition. Due to an already carried out project Roketsan hosted Azerbaijan’s President İlham Aliyev together with Turkey’s Minister of National Defence İsmet Yılmaz, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defence Zakir Hasanov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defence Industry Yaver Cemalov, Air Force Commander Ramiz Firudin, Ambassador of the Turkish Republic of Azerbaijan Alper Coşkun, Military Attache to Azerbaijan Brig. Gen. Nevzat Taşdeler and other Azerbaijani authorities. Undersecratary for Defence Industries Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir answered press members’ questions and underlined the importance of the large number of Turkish companies’ attendance at the first ADEX show for long term coooperation between the two countries during his press conference which was held at Roketsan’s booth. Besides the exhibited products inside, Roketsan presented at ADEX for the first time the weapon system which was delivered to Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani and Turkish press showed great interest in our products. Many interviews were done by the Turkish press such as; Anadolu Agency, TRT, CNN Turk, Kanal A, Cihan News Agency, Savunma ve Havacılık, Defence Turkey, C4 Defence and the Azerbaijani press such as; Hazar TV, Mag TV, ASN TV, Lider TV, ATV, Kanal S, Azeri Defence, ADEX Daily News.
