L/UMTAS-GM can provide effectiveness against targets beyond the line of sight without approaching enemy and being noticed. This feature provides the advantage of laying an ambush against the enemy, both in defense and attack. With this property, the system can be used behind a mask. L/UMTAS-GM has two configurations: infrared seeker with image processing (IIR) and a semi-active laser seeker (SAL).

LUMTAS-GM

L/UMTAS-GM can be launched day or night from attack helicopters, naval platforms and land vehicles, and depending on its warhead type; it can be used against main battle tanks, armored personnel carriers, trucks, all-terrain vehicles, light pillboxes, trenches, buildings, and low-altitude hovering helicopters.
