ROKETSAN, was founded on 14 June 1988 by the decision of the Defense Industries Executive Committee for the purpose of “Establishing a leading institution in the country for designing, developing and manufacturing rockets and missiles.

Establishment of the company's R&D team with a core staff of 4 people

Relocation of the company to its facilities on 1000 decares of land in Elmadağ and initiation of composite fuel engine production under the STINGER project

Guided Missile Design Infrastructure Development Project (GÜFTAG)

Establishment of missile design infrastructure and transition from engine development to system integration

National development and entry into the TAF inventory of the TR-122 MIZRAK Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) Artillery Weapon System, the longest-range artillery rocket in its class globally

Entry of TR-107 MLRS ammunition into the inventory, strengthening of production infrastructure, and start of acquisition of long-range missile design and manufacturing technologies
